fasts Ramadaan

(Translated by Umm Djumâna - Muslima.de.ms)

question
I still catch some fast days of Ramadan and I would like
'Ashura' fasting. Is it permissible for me to fast on 'Ashura' before the days of fasting
I have caught up, which I still owe? Can I 'Ashura' and the eleventh month of Muharram
with the intent to make up the fasting days of Ramadan, fast, and I'll
get the reward for fasting of 'Ashura' that?

Answer: Praise be to Allaah
.
First
you shall perform voluntary fasts, if you have one or more debt
days of Ramadan, instead, you must start with the fast days that you still owe
of Ramadan and then perform voluntary fasts.
Second
If you are fasting the tenth and eleventh of Muharram, with the intention
make up fasting days that you still owe from Ramadaan, this is allowed and
will atone for two of the fast days that you still owe. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be
upon him) said: "The acts are according to intentions, and each
people entitled to what he has intended."
Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa'imah, 11/401
We hope that you will get the reward for making up the missed days of fasting and
reward for fasting on that day. Fataawa al-Manar
