who is a messenger and who is a prophet?
envoy
----> Rasool (رسول) Linguistically: a man who is sent with a message
Islamic: An ambassador is a man to whom a Shari `ah (law) of Allah ta `ala has been disclosed and have been asked to submit, at a Kuffaar-people, and to warn them. Shari `ah was His was a new Shari` a to be perfect or a prior Shari `ah, ie it is either something you added been replaced or it's been something.
Prophet
We have sent down the Torah which was guidance and light judged by the prophets who converted to Islam
Denn die Propheten, die zu den Kindern Isra` ils (den Juden) gesandt worden waren, walteten für sie mit der Taurah, die Allah ta `ala had revealed to the Messenger of Musa / Moses (alayhi salam).
Question: What is the difference between
Nabi (Prophet) and Rasul (Messenger)?
Answer:
Praise be to Allah.
There are a number of views on this subject, one of which is what Ibn Taymiyya (rahimahu lah) explained here:
A Nabi (Prophet) is the one Allah has revealed something different and it is on what Allah has revealed to him. When he was sent but to go to those against Allah's commands to them to bring a message from Allah, then he is a Rasul (Messenger). But if he follows the Shari'a, which came before him and he was the one who was sent to a message from Allah to deliver, then he is a Nabi (Prophet) and Rasul .. no (Gesandter. "(An Nubuwat , page 255)
Some scholars have added other details, but these are the most important.

Bump On Gums Above Tooth, Painful
fruits of humility
fruits of humility Ibn al-Qayyim, may Allaah have mercy upon him-said:
One of the Salaf (pious predecessors) said. "Verily, a servant commits a sin by which he enters Paradise and another does a good deed by which he comes to hell" He was asked: "Why is that? "Then he answered:" He who has committed the sin of thinking it incessantly, which causes him to front zufürchten to repent, to weep and to be ashamed before his Lord, the Most High, because of this sin. He stands before Allaah, broken-hearted and humble, with bowed head. So this sin more useful to him as do many deeds of obedience (they do a servant to happiness and success), because she brought him to humility and modesty in such a way that this sin was the reason for entering the paradise. The perpetrator of the good deed, however, considers his good deed, not as a favor from his Lord. Instead, he becomes arrogant and amazed at himself, saying: "I have achieved this and this and this and that" This increases his self-glorification, pride and arrogance -. so much so that this becomes the trigger for his downfall "[Al-Waabil us-Sayyib min al-Kalim it-Tayyib, p. 15]
